Flemington-based Non-Profit Hosting “Thunder in the Park” Car Show at TD Bank Ballpark Saturday September 5th, 2020.
Bridgewater, NJ – For the past two years, the Somerset Patriots have partnered with Right2Breathe®, a Flemington, NJ-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and their Home Runs for Healthy Lung Health Awareness, Education, & Screening Event. As COVID-19 has impacted the lives of thousands of New Jersey families, the respiratory non-profit is planning on bringing in 300 of the finest hot rods, race cars, and custom motorcycles for their first “Thunder in the Park” car show, Saturday September 5th, 2020 in the parking lot at TD Bank Ballpark from 9am till 3pm EST.
The Thunder in the Park car show is a charitable fundraiser – and the brainchild of Al Liebmann who has managed and organized many successful car shows, in support of charities and non-profits in the North Eastern United States. 100 percent of all proceeds collected during this event will help provide financial support to their expanding Pulmonary Chat – a free patient support group hosted three times per month, where respiratory disease patients and caregivers can receive critical education and resources to help them reduce exposure to COVID-19, and live a higher quality of life.
“As a New Jersey-based non-profit, it’s critical for Right2Breathe® to provide education, awareness, and resources for respiratory diseases to our home state,” noted Right2Breathe® CEO Joe Morrison. “Our new Pulmonary Chat online webinar allows those who live with COPD, Asthma, or other respiratory disease to ask questions of Pulmonologists and Respiratory Therapists at no charge. It’s grown significantly since COVID-19 came to our shores.”
Diseases like Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) impacts the daily lives of more than 1.3 million residents of New Jersey, which is nearly 13 percent of our state’s population. The Home Runs for Healthy Lungs health initiative was created by Right2Breathe® targeting baseball fans, who due to their vocation, lifestyle and other demographic factors are at higher risk of developing a lung disease.
The Thunder in the Park car show will showcase the Right2Breathe display, which allows family members of respiratory disease to receive information and resources for their loved ones, including an opportunity to sign up for their Pulmonary Chat events.
Following State of New Jersey health guidelines and COVID-19 protocol, the event is restricted to 500 total people. As such, all tickets need to be purchased online through EventBrite.com. There are still limited tickets available for the car show. However, for those who prefer to support Right2Breathe® without attending the event personally, the Flemington, NJ non-profit is also hosting a virtual car show.
For a donation of $10 or more, anyone across the globe can enter their vehicle in the online-only car show event. To enter the virtual car show, simply click this link and make a donation of $10 or more to Right2Breathe.org.
